Strong Mom Hair Starts Here

From constant breakage to strong, shiny, thiccccc hair

I have never actually shared in one cohesive place why I am so passionate about my hair now, so gather round for a quick story!

I started dying my hair when I was 13 (10/10 don’t recommend this, but hindsight is 20-20). By the time I got to my 20s, I was bleaching it every month. As you can imagine, that led to a TON of breakage.

My very bleached hair circa 2016

I continued to keep my hair long until 2019 when I just couldn’t take it anymore and chopped it all off in hopes that I could get it to grow back healthier.

Spoiler alert, it didn’t, but I really tried anyway…

Fast forward to 2021, I realized my hair was really thin, and especially around my face. I didn’t think anything of it at the time- honestly, I assumed it was just because I was tanner, and my hair was light. It turns out that is not what was happening. The products I was using in my hair were not supporting my scalp health, and so my damaged and broken hair wasn’t able to repair, and my scalp wasn’t a healthy environment for new hair to grow.

After having my first baby, I lost a lot of hair in those first few months postpartum. I knew this would happen; I read everything I could to prepare for pregnancy and postpartum. But I didn’t really expect it to be as bad as it was. I was losing hair in clumps in the shower. My hair felt so thin and brittle, and was so dry that it was annoying when it was touching me. It was like the texture was overstimulating me! So I cut it off again in hopes of it growing back healthier. This was when I started using my Monat hair products more regularly.

It wasn’t until postpartum with my SECOND baby that I decided to give the growth serum and thickening shampoo a try. Within 3 months of using the serum consistently (once a day, every day), I noticed a significant amount of new hair growth:

So that in itself is pretty freaking cool. It also just makes me think about all the women out there wasting money on supplements and other products, when it’s as simple as using quality products with naturally derived ingredients that are meant to support your scalp microbiome.

So if that’s you, and you think your hair is damaged beyond repair, or that the products can’t possibly work as well as you’ve heard, let this be a sign that they do in fact work, and they can work for you, too.

I’d love to do a hair consult for you- simply reply to this email “HAIR” and I’ll send you my hair quiz.
