Happy Friday!

Woof. I feel like I’ve heard this from a few people, but it’s been a week 😅 .

How are you doing? Are you feeling like the Mercury is in Gatorade or what?

I just started this past week filling in for my friend that is on maternity leave, and let me tell you- working from home (even part-time) and balancing babies is A LOT. I’m low key loving the structure it requires of me, though!

I have been reading on a Kindle since 2020 when we moved into our RV, because we really didn’t have a ton of space for real books, and I do really enjoy reading. Then it came in super handy when I had our first baby, because I read basically alllllll night when he was up and breastfeeding (until I got the hang of side-lying nursing, and then I barely woke up at all). Anyway, I’ve used it so much, and I even travel with it, which is great because I get to keep that part of my routine wherever we go. I’m going to probably need to replace it soon, because I have been everything but gentle on my Kindle, and it’s in rough shape now 😂 . This is likely the one I’ll replace mine with- it’s the same version, just the new model.

The past week, I’ve been feeling extra overstimulated by the toys in our house (probably bc of my period LOL), so I went on a rampage and moved some toys into the closet for storage, and organized the ones that are remaining. It got me thinking about how we accumulate SO. MUCH. STUFF. when we have babies. And we really don’t need much of it. I think two of the only things I would get again are a baby play mat (this one comes with the mobile and interactive features), and a little prop-up/tummy time pillow like this one. Aside from those 2 things, I’d say you probably have things that could mimic the toys in your house already.

I got a new pair of leggings, and went out of my comfort zone with a different material than I usually like, but it was soooo worth it! I got the Elite 7/8 Leggings and they are actually perfect. I usually like the softer legging material, but those aren’t great to lift in if you’re using a barbell because they snag/pill more easily. But the Elite leggings are perfect to lift in. Soft and still supportive, compression but not to the point where I couldn’t breathe. Plus, I love that their leggings are built for muscular legs, so there was a little more room in the quads and booty, I didn’t feel like my legs were being smushed. PLUS, they have pockets. So these will be perfect to run in when it gets a little cooler, and I couldn’t ask for more.

Anywho, that’s all I’ve got for you this weekend!

See you next week, same time same place.

Xoxo,

Arielle
