Happy Friday!

I feel like I say this every month, but how is it already AUGUST?!

That means it’s basically fall, which means it’s basically Hanukkah/Christmas, which means it’s basically New Years, so we might as well start writing 2025 on all our papers. Who writes the date on papers anymore? I’m all discombobulated.

After my trip to NY got extended last week, my routine was a little bit wonky, but I have a system that helps me get back on track, even with two babies running the house. Keep reading for what they are!

Even while traveling, I try to make sure I’m eating around 130g of protein. I don’t track my food currently, but since I’ve done it for so long, I have a good idea of what 130g of protein looks like and how to get it while traveling. I do this because it helps keep my energy levels up, especially since I’m not sleeping as much as I need and chasing a toddler around while carrying a baby 😅 .

When I’m home, I’ve been having greek yogurt with Vanilla Equip Prime Protein, granola, and berries. Equip’s Vanilla protein has literally 4 ingredients, and only 3g of carbs, which for a protein powder is pretty hard to find. I have nothing against carbs, but I’d rather eat them IMO. You can try it for yourself with 15% off your first purchase when you use the code BLOOM. If you click the link above and sign up for a subscription, you’ll also save 15%. I have my protein on a subscription every other month, but sometimes I end up pushing it back a month or 2 if I don’t use as much vanilla (happens often because I end up buying other protein flavors to try as well 😅 ).

Another thing I find SO helpful is getting outside and getting fresh air. When I travel, we naturally are out and about more, but when I get home it is helpful to get my circadian rhythm back on track. I have kind of written off a lot of biohacking things, but morning sunlight and daily time outside are two things that are non-negtioables (yes, even when it rains or is cold out). This stroller has been a HUGE help in getting Shay out and about, and I am always wearing Charli so I got a NEW carrier that I LOVE.

I shared last week the car seats I was looking at for our next travels. We haven’t decided on one yet, mostly because I am paralyzed by decision fatigue. But considering I spent so much time and energy researching and reading the reviews for a bunch of car seats and travel strollers (both single and double), I put them together in a list on my Amazon storefront in case you were looking for one or both of these items. Charli is still too small to even go in the stroller, so I’m not particularly in a rush to get a double stroller since I really love our Guava jogging stroller to travel with. It’s comfortable for Shay, folds up relatively compact for a big jogging stroller, and it’s got great storage so we can be out all day and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.

Also- for anyone who is keeping up with my shin saga since falling on the rocks in the river this past weekend, my shins are no longer swollen thank god. ICYMI, I was wearing Charli and walked onto the rocks (that everyone said weren’t slipper), and immediately slipped and fell straight down into a straddle on a rock, gaining 2 gnarly scrapes on both of my shins, and losing some dignity in the process. I’ve been spraying the wounds on both shins with the Everything Spray from Primally Pure (that I also use as a face toner), and it’s helping them heal. I will save you a picture of my shins because it’s pretty gross.

Anywho, that’s all I’ve got for you this weekend!

See you next week, same time same place.

Xoxo,

Arielle
