Happy Friday!
I skipped sending out an email last Friday because I was attending the funeral of my aunt who passed away last week and it just didn’t feel right to send one out. Thanks for understanding in hindsight.
Attending the funeral of someone you love is really quite eye-opening. Because you love that person, but you find out there were things you didn’t even know about them, and experiences that other people had with them that you didn’t. It’s a great reminder of how complex human beings are, and how lucky we are to have the opportunity to leave a legacy in the world.

While in New York for the funeral, I got to spend some time with my family and Charli and Gabe stayed home with Shay. It was weird to be away from them for so long, and I can confidently say I don’t want to do that again for a long time. But while I was away with Charli, my structured carrier came in so handy, because I opted out of bringing a stroller since I was traveling alone. I averaged 20,000 steps daily wearing a 13lb baby, which was plenty 😅 . Charli slept for hours and nursed in the carrier, and when she was awake she was hanging with my family. Very cute, 10/10 recommend.

I think I’ve shared about this romper so many times, but I think it’s so cute, and so comfy. I have it in a medium, and it’s stretchy enough to breastfeed in, but still has structure so I don’t feel like I’m bouncing around, ya know? Plus, there are tons of cute color options. I went out of my comfort zone with the berry-ish color.

We are traveling again in a couple of weeks, this time with both babies. I’ve been looking for a lighter-weight car seat for both of them so that we aren’t lugging around heavy car seats when we travel. After a TON of online research, I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 car seat options that I want to now go look at in person to decide: The Cosco Scenera ($59 at Walmart) and the Safety 1st 65 Convertible Seat ($89 on Amazon). The parameters I used: convertible car seat, weight of the seat itself (wanted ideally under 10lb, these are close), easy to install/take out. I will keep you posted on which I decide on! If you’ve used either of these, I’d love to know your thoughts/experience!

Anywho, that’s all I’ve got for you this weekend!
See you next week, same time same place.
Xoxo,
Arielle
