Happy Saturday (& Happy June)!
We are finally starting to get into a groove over here at 3 weeks postpartum- lucky for us, everything will change again over the course of the next few months as Charli and Shay both continue to grow and their brains continue developing 😅
Some things that are helping make the transition from 1 to 2 babies easier:
a husband that is literally heaven on earth- he has been cleaning, cooking (more than he usually does, which was a lot before!), taking Shay on adventures to keep him occupied while I rested the first 2 weeks, and still being there for me and my postpartum feels
eating nourishing foods (and hella protein), thanks to some friends and again, Gabe being heaven on earth!
drinking lots of water- this continues to be a struggle but I have been finding different ways to get it in, like mixing LMNT with some sparkling water
having family around makes the WORLD of difference- Shay loves his grandparents and to get to see them all often is a blessing

Gabe has been cooking dinner every night, and to make his life easier, he found a great company that makes high-quality protein options. You just defrost it, heat it up, and voila! Ingredients are great, macros are great, with 4 servings in each container. There are all different options and we haven’t tried them all yet, but so far my favorites so far are the Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken and Braised Shredded Beef. If you want to try it for yourself, you can click here!

I shared on Instagram this week that I got Shay a water table to play with outside, and I didn’t love it. It was $40 from Walmart, and it just isn’t as sturdy as I would like it to be. I have since gotten over my disappointment, and we’re making it work. I bought sponges to play with, and I’m going to get this pump so I don’t keep turning on and off the hose.

In other kid-item-related news, we were gifted a Guava Stroller, and while I wouldn’t have purchased one myself before, I am totally sold on this stroller. Here are my pros & cons:
Pros:
super easy to fold
folds smaller than any other jogging stroller
lighter than other jogging strollers
adjustable handlebar
great storage: bottom basket, handlebar organizer, and side pockets in the stroller
super easy to lock the front wheel (this is important for running with the stroller)
air-less tires (no fiddling with filling them up over and over)
Cons:
it’s not as light as a “regular” stroller
they don’t make a double stroller option
it is on the pricier side ($649)
I really can’t say enough good things about this stroller! Right now, you can get $100-$150 off the stroller and accessories! So far I have used it with Shay, and I am waiting for the car seat adapter to come in so I can also use it with Charli. Stay tuned once I start running 👀
The other cool thing is that Guava also makes a travel bassinet and travel crib (kind of like a pack ‘n play but it has a zipper space to make it easier to crawl into). I haven’t tried these products but they look just as sturdy as the stroller.

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for this week, enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you next week. Same time same place (or hopefully Friday instead of Saturday 🙏 ).
Xoxo,
Arielle
