Happy Friday!

In case you missed it, we had our baby girl early last Wednesday morning! We’ve been soaking up the time together as a family, and everyone seems to be adjusting well to a new addition to the family.

I had another home birth, but this time instead of birthing on a birth stool, I gave birth in a pool. I will tell my full birth story on our next Gym Rats podcast, but I’ll give you a little teaser now. I had a very short labor and the whole thing was actually really enjoyable even up to pushing my baby out. I know not a lot of moms can say that about their labor and birth experience, but if I can be the example that it’s possible, I want you to know that it is! Stay tuned for our next podcast episode to hear my full birth story of our daughter, Charli.

For the past week, I’ve been really intentional about resting as much as I can. Because of that, Gabe has been picking up all of the slack. He’s been cooking, cleaning, and keeping Shay busy and out of the house. I know I wouldn’t be in this position without him (lol), but I also don’t know what I would do without him. Very, VERY grateful for him.

I bought some more loungewear from Amazon that I’ve been wearing the past week and I’m really loving what I ordered! I got this set in brown, and this free people dupe in black. It’s a weird fit for my body type, but me and my short legs are still loving it because it’s so comfy, and so easy to just throw on. I also got these tanks which are great for nursing and super comfortable! They come in 3 lengths- I got the waist length bc I can always ruche (is this a word?) it up if I want them to be shorter.

I’m really hesitant to buy a second set of everything, like baby monitor and sound machine, but I did find a great portable sound machine that’s great for traveling. I’m thinking this will come in handy when we travel and are all together in one room. This way Shay and Charli can use it together.

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for this week, enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you next week. Same time same place.

Xoxo,

Arielle
